Olivia's 8 Years Old!

Olivia turned 8 yesterday! We had a party in the afternoon for her friends. They had a great time! They did a craft kit that made body glitter. We played games and had a dance off. At the end of the party we passed out treat bags that looked like purses. After the Utah vs BYU game we had our families over for cake and ice cream. I had no idea there was such a huge football game when I sent the invites. It was such a crazy day, but everything turned out great.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Today we went to Parent Teacher Conferences. As usual Olivia got a flawless report card and of course made the Honor Roll! Her teacher is awesome, and makes it so Olivia loves school. Damon is doing great, he has improved so much just since the beginning of the school year. I am so proud of both of them. We went to "Applebee's" to celebrate, and then to "Target" to get a few treats.

Today we got to go to Olivia's class because she was the V.I.P. It was fun sharing cute stories about Olivia. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Yvette, John, Damon, Jasmine and I had fun listening to nice comments the class had about Olivia. I made a slideshow presentation to show the class. The school has state of the art equipment so it turned out really cute.

IT'S FRIDAY!

Once again it's Friday. Here's Damon's defintion of a "Cheetah Girl."

Damon saw Jasmine in her pj's and said that she looked like one of the "Cheetah Girls" from the Disney Channel.

Here she is making the "kiss-y face." She learned that from her Aunts who always make that face in pictures. LOL. She loves that the kids are back at school. She has fun being home with me all day and looks forward to our lunch dates with Dad.

John and I got to volunteer in Damon's class on Wednesday. It's so fun seeing Damon in school. He does such a great job! He is still recovering from an ear infection, but seems to be doing better.

Olivia got to pass out her birthday invitations today. She's counting down the days until her party. Not to mention she is really excited fot Aunt Kim to visit next weekend.

A few months ago I talked about being in charge of the absentee calling at our school. Well, it was hard getting volunteers since we can't bring our younger children with us, but we finally got the week covered. This was our first official week of making calls, and it turned out pretty well. I went on Thursday morning, and actually think its pretty fun making the calls. The office is really happy to have the help so I'm glad everything worked out.

I was invited to go to a Focus Group last night. It was for a new crafting product that's in the making. It was fun to give my input on the product. I even got paid for going, BONUS!

Daddy's Girl

The other day I took the girls shopping for some winter clothes. Jasmine had so much fun picking out her own clothes. We were at "Children's Place" for over two hours. Today she went to babysit Grandpa and thought it would be fun to get all dressed up. She even packed a purse and wore jewelry for most of the day. My kids don't like to admit they need a babysitter so we tell them they are doing the babysitting. That's way I always say babysitting Grandpa. My girls never liked dolls or other girls toys, so I am thrilled they at least like clothes and jewelry!

Whatever Makes You Happy

The kids went back to school today. Olivia was so excited to see her teacher. Damon on the other hand would love it if he never had to see his teacher ever again. He gave me such a hard time this afternoon, he would not get dressed or cooperate. He was so mad that he had to go back to school, he pouted the whole way to the bus stop. He wanted me to put this picture of him acting silly on the blog. I figured since he had such a hard day I would do whatever makes him happy.

Going Back To School

So today is our last day off, the kids go back on track tomorrow. We've had fun, but I spent most of the last three weeks refereeing fights. Olivia can't wait to go back to school but Damon is not so excited. Not to mention he has an ear infection and hasn't been feeling to well. The doctor thinks he might need his tonsils out.

Christmas Crafts

Today was a really productive day. Olivia and I ditched Damon and Jasmine so that we could spend the day making crafts. Something both of us love to do. We went to "Hobby Lobby" for supplies. Sorry John, I know I'm grounded from that store, but I couldn't help myself.



We made these really cute Melting Snowmen Pins from hot glue.



We put together Snowmen Kits for their teachers.



We finished making a dozen Snowmen Ornaments and stuffed them in bags with a poem called "Snowfriend." These are for Olivia's friends.


Our next project is making napkin rings for Christmas Eve.

The First Snowfall of The Season

This morning we woke up to snow. It's always fun when the snow falls for the first time. The kids wanted to play outside and make a snowman, but it was way to cold. We took them to "Chuck E. Cheese's" instead. They had a lot of fun. All this snow has us in the mood for Christmas. We will be making our Christmas cards and presents this evening. It's nice when the kids are off school because we have time to do crafts.

Mommy/Daughter Date

Today Liv and I went to see Highschool Musical 3. All I can say is musicals are so not my thing, it was two hours of torture. At least I got to spend time alone with one of my favorite girls, not to mention the "Play dough Ice cream" was to die for. We have one more week off track, and Damon refused to go see a "Girls Movie", so he and Jasmine babysat Grandpa while Liv and I got to go on a Mommy/Daughter Date.

Happy Halloween!

Olivia was a Devil, Damon was a Rhino Power Ranger, and Jasmine was Snow white. John dressed up as a stick figure.
