Last Week of February

It's finally the last week of February! I think this has been the longest winter ever. I can't wait for some warm weather and some sunshine, bring on SPRING! We have had a really busy month. We are still loving our new car. Olivia finally got her braces. Damon still needs to be bribed to go to school everyday. Jassy is getting quite a personality. She keeps us in stitches. Chloe just got spayed, and by spayed I mean gutted. I thought for a dog, they just tied a few tubes. No, they gave her a full hysterectomy. She's a trooper though and was up and jumping in a matter of days. Here is a video of her saying "Mama." DON'T FORGET TO PAUSE MUSIC.

She also says "I Love You." I haven't got that on tape yet, maybe when she is back to her playful self.

John is doing awesome! His company is finally up and running and all his hard work is finally paying off.

I have been really busy with a "Lighting Workshop." I've been doing a ton of photo projects and learning new methods of editing. All my free time goes to this workshop, hence why I haven't been blogging much lately. I've learned some new techniques on capturing light. I can't even tell you how excited I am for some sunshine so I can take pictures using what I have learned!

March doesn't appear to be slowing down much. Stay tuned for a video of Jassy shaking her tail feather!

18 With A Bullet!

You probably don't remember that song. But when I think of someone turning 18 I automatically think of the high pitch voice of Pete Wingfield singing "I'm 18 with a bullet!" It's an oldie but goodie! My niece just turned 18 and can't believe that happened right before my eyes. It seems like just yesterday she was three years old and letting me dress her up and curl her hair to take her to the mall with me in my mustang convertible. She used to eat my lipstick when she was little, it used to drive me crazy. Everyone who went to school with me, knows Sessa. She used to follow me everywhere. In fact, I used to stay home from dates and parties just to play with her. Now she is a young lady, who will be graduating and moving out soon. :(

Happy Anniversary

My Mom and Dad just celebrated their Wedding Anniversary. I think they have been together for 100 years now! hehehe

We celebrated by taking them to dinner at the Sizzler. Then they are off to St. George for a little getaway.

Chinese New Year/ Valentine's Day

We had such a great weekend! John and I went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Tsunami on Friday night. We celebrated Valentine's Day a little early to beat the rush.

Saturday, we spent the afternoon at home relaxing. Sunday, the kids woke up to a little surprise and a few treats.

We took the kids to Village Inn for a VDay breakfast. Then we went to John's parent's house for a Chinese New Year lunch and to exchange red envelopes of money.

We then went to my parent's house for a get together with my mom's family. We even got to see my Aunt Jannice and my cousin Hilary from Arizona.

Since the kid's have been off track for the last three weeks, we had a few projects to work on. I took the kids picture with each of them holding a letter to spell out L.O.V.E. I got chipboard letters and decoupaged them and added a few embellishments. After the pictures I tied the letters together to hang on the wall.

We also made this album which also spells LOVE.

Then we made cute Valentine Monsters.

Now the kids are back at school and neither one was very excited about it.

Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the last few months, everything we own that is more then a year old, has had to be replaced. You'd never know that we live in a brand new house. We've been replacing appliances, TVs, DVD players, faucets, and cell phones. You name it, we've replaced! One thing on our list to replace is our minivan. We love the convenience but hate that it is starting to require a lot of repair work. We started looking around at other vehicles and come across the GMC Acadia. This vehicle is perfect for us, but are we willing to double our payment? The van is so close to being paid off. How much work does the van really need?

John and I have spent the last few weeks researching cars and narrowed it down to the top three. We decided to take the kids for a test drive. After test driving the Acadia, the kids and I sat inside the car, while John talked to the sales guy outside. The kid's really liked the car and so did I. I was really torn with decision, so we decided to pray about it. We grabbed each others hands and said a little prayer. After a few seconds of silence, Damon said "Mom, I don't think Santa can hear our prayer."

Santa?

What? You think we pray to Santa?

Oh, Damon-your killing me!

So after an answered prayer from-Santa, we got a beautiful new car!!!

It's everything I've ever wanted in a vehicle. I can't believe I'm so blessed!!! Thank you John. Thank you Jesus. Thank you, Santa?

Gorgoza Park

A few days ago we took the kids tubing at Gorgoza Park near Park City.

It was only 27 degrees, but with all our snow gear we were nice and warm. The sun was shinning and it was absolutely gorgeous!

The best part, was that we didn't have to walk up the hill. You just tie your tube to the lift and it takes you to the top of the mountain. Jassy pretty much just stayed in her tube and we pulled her around all day. She's such a DIVA!

Liv has not smiled for a picture since she started going to the Orthodontist.

Such a fun day. It was a little challenging riding with my big camera around my neck, but I have been dying to get some snow pictures! Next time I'll just bring my point-and-shoot camera. After tubing and playing we took the kids to Park City for dinner. When we got home we were exhausted. BEST DAY EVER!!!
