Picnic In The Mountains

This last Sunday we had plans to go to Lagoon for Catholic Day but since the weather was up and down we decided to go on a picnic instead. We headed up Cottonwood Canyon and found a nice little spot by the water. I love the mountains after it rains! Everything was so green and the smell of the rain is to die for...


It's not easy pulling Damon away from his video games, but he seemed to have a good time.

Everyone had fun throwing rocks and sticks in the stream.

Grandma and Grandpa got a flat tire on the way home. Since we were on our way down the canyon the truck kept rolling down the hill when we were trying to put the spare tire on even with the brakes set. It was a little scary but we got it fixed, no-one got hurt, and we still managed to have a great time!

I'm Back....

A few months ago I got a new computer. I noticed that my Mac saves all my pictures about three times, I also have three different photo editing programs and they save all my pictures as well. So after a few months I had thousands of photos on my computer. I thought I would delete a few and before I knew it, I had deleted all of them. :( Then my kids got really sick of the camera. Then I got really sick of the camera. I had lots to blog about but without fun pictures, what's the point? Anyways....

I'm back, and here's what we did today!

It was awesome! The little ones saw my camera and right away wanted to do a few poses. Here's Damon doing some warrior poses:

She even has names for them all, this one is called "Sweetie Pie."

My Etsy Store

I got a little burned out on photography. :( I think it was all the workshops I have been taking and my kids unwillingness to participate as models anymore. It could also be the hours and hours I have spent trying to get my photography site up and running. I recently spent days getting all my photos transferred over to my new computer only to accidentally erase them all.

I needed something else to do. I was really tired of scrapbooking and card making. I even gave knitting on a loom a try! My SIL had a jewelry party a few months ago and we had a blast making our own jewelry. I decided to jump online and find things to make. Before I knew it, I had made a couple hundred items. Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

These precious babies are the reason I love being a mom. They make everyday so special! I love watching them grow.

I had a wonderful day celebrating with John's family in the morning and my family in the evening. The weather was beautiful and no one cried or had a tantrum. The best part was that I got to take an hour nap with my new Tempur-pedic pillow. The girls even let me take a few photos.

I needed a few photos for a project. I'm taking three workshops and I'm loving every minute of them all. I have a few more coming up in the next couple of weeks.

The kids have been off track for the last 2 1/2 weeks. We really took advantage of not having a busy schedule and spent a ton of time at home. It really felt like a vacation but it's great to have the kids returning to their normal routines today.

Flag Football

Damon started Flag Football last week. We've had a few games, this was the first time it wasn't raining so I was able to get a few photos.

We lost this game, but our team played their little hearts out. Damon survived getting pulled down by his ankles. (I think they forgot they were playing "flag football") He hit his face on the ball and got a bloody nose.
