This week has already been much better than last week. Nobody is missing and everyone is feeling really good. The kids are getting ready to go off track, so we have a short week full of parties and fun. I am in charge of the “U-CAN” Store for Olivia’s class. They earn tickets for good behavior and get to redeem them once a month. It’s been a challenge to get donations from other parents and having to start the store from scratch, but I think it turned out really well. We had a lot of Halloween goodies and the kids were thrilled to spend their tickets. Olivia had the most tickets at 55 the next highest was 33. Yeah, she’s awesome!
I told you last week how I raised hell at the school’s office to get the absentee calling in effect. Well guess who they put in charge of organizing it? YIKES! So I literally have to put matters into my own hands. I’ve had to beg the PTA to volunteer, so it’s been a lot of work. Hopefully, the kids will be a little bit safer though. This is work in progress, I'll keep you updated.
P.S. Damon fell asleep on the bus again yesterday. This time the students knew to tell the Bus Driver, and he made it to class OK. It's a long bus ride since they have to pick up all of the Kindergartners on one bus. There's almost 20 stops, so of course he falls asleep. He's my little sleepy head.
