Trip to Las Vegas

John and I thought it would be fun to take a trip to Las Vegas for the weekend since the kids are off track. His family has a condo there and they were nice enough to let us borrow it. We stopped in St. George first to visit my Grandparents. My Mema is such a sweetheart she made us her world famous enchiladas for dinner, they were delicious.

We spent time in their backyard where the have a beautiful garden and I saw it as a chance to practice with my camera.

Jasmine was being a handful as usual so this picture is of Olivia trying her hardest not to strangle her.

When we got to Las Vegas it was pretty late so we decided to just to kick back for the rest of the night. The next day, we took the kids on the strip to watch the water show.

We walked through the garden at The Bellagio.

After that the kids were already exhausted, they only lasted about an hour on the strip. The kids didn't care for all the walking, escalators, and getting bumped and pushed all around. For them it was more work then it was worth. So we headed back to the condo only to find out that all the pools in the complex were closed due to repairs. Something that John and I should have paid closer attention to. The kids were devastated. The only thing they wanted to do was swim. So we left Vegas and rented a room in St. George just so the kids could swim. However, we
ended up back at my grandparent's house to use the swimming pool at their complex. My parents were also in St. George, they were visting my grandparents. The kids were so anxious to go swimming the didn't care that is was almost dark and really cold by the time we got there.

The next day Damon had a touch of the flu so John stayed with him and my parent's and I took the girls to the park and to run a few errands, but of course the kids were right back at the pool as soon as it was warm enough.

It was nice to get away for the weekend. It was really nice to spend time with my parents and grandparents, the only bad thing was that we had to leave our dog with my sister. We missed that little stinker more then you know. Damon was actually in tears because he missed her so much. When we got home the first thing we did was pick her up, and she was more then happy to see us!
