Meet The Mistletoes

Yesterday the kids woke up to these hanging from the banister.

The message was:

Christmas is approaching, and this is the day
Santa has sent The Mistletoes to your house to stay.
He sent these small elves to your house and mine.
The day after Thanksgiving, He must be on time.
The Mistletoes have a purpose. Their purpose will be,
To whisper to Santa all the good that they see.
Soon after they get here, they move only at night
To high places, low places, they stay in plain sight.
In the kitchen, for instance, they sit high on a shelf.
The Mistletoes can sit anywhere, for each is an elf.
They hold very still when they think you are watching.
Their magic is precious, it fades with each touching.
They sit on the tree on Christmas Eve day.
They know that Santa is soon on his way.
They wait and they wait without making a noise.
They wait until Santa arrives with the toys.
So you better be nice and mind what you say
Because The Mistletoes will tell Santa when he comes with his sleigh.
Once Christmas is here and Santa has come,
The Mistletoes must leave, for their job is well done.
But, they will return next year on the very same day,
To watch your behavior as you work and play.

So say hello to our little vistors:
Bouncy Mistletoe - Liv
Snappy Mistletoe - Damon
and Buttons Mistletoe - Jasmine

I can tell these little friends are going to be a handful.  They were already found swinging from the chandelier and this morning they were hanging from the cabinets.
