The decorations are up.
The stockings are hung.
It's so nice to have all of that taken care of. Yesterday I also started my winter cleaning. I spent hours cleaning out the family desk in our kitchen. I had no idea all of the garbage that we have collected over the last few months. I emptied out two garbage bags worth of junk. I even got an organizer for the drawer to separate all the pens, pencils, etc. The desk is now so organized, I just wish it would last. Later today I am going to clean out Liv's room. She has a habit of collecting random things like: dum-dum wrappers, the plastic things that you sometimes get in the middle of pizza to hold it in place during delivery, buttons, and pieces of string. I know right, she is such a weirdo. The funny thing is, she is really creative and actually uses all these little knick knacks. The other day I went to throw away what appeared to be scraps, but she explained that it was a house. When she unfolded it, it was a 3D house with little chairs and tables. She had made it out of tiny pieces of paper. Amazing! Later, I went to throw away a notebook that had a bunch of scribbles on every page, when she said "wait let me show you what I drew." She then flipped the pages, it was a cartoon of a girl dancing. You know how you can make things look like they are moving by drawing the same image doing different things on each page. Well my eight year old made a cartoon of a girl dancing. She is so funny, you gotta love that girl!
Anyways, it's off to the school. Today I am doing the "U-CAN Store." We got very few donations and I had a hard time finding Christmas Goodies that weren't too expensive. Luckily I have donations from last month so hopefully the kids will enjoy spending their hard earned "U-CANS" at the store today.
Tina, your house looks beautiful! I am glad you finished up! Now I hope I can.
