Summer Clean Up

Not much has been happening at our house. We have a list of fun things to do and fun places to go, but had to put it on hold since Damon was so sick. I noticed his ear was a little crusty on Monday but he wasn't complaining about it. On Wednesday he said it was a little sore, so we took him to the doctor to have it checked. By Thursday he had a really high fever and was in agony. I thought I caught it in time and that he wouldn't be in any pain, but even being on Antibiotics for 24 hours didn't help him. On Saturday he was even worse and still had a fever, so we took him back to the doctor even though the nurse told me to wait a few more days. I felt so bad for him. If you've ever had an ear infection you know how painful it can be. Well he had both an inner and outer infection so it was excruciating for my little guy. The doctor changed his Antibiotics and inserted a wick into his earlobe so that the drops will go all the way down to the infection. His earlobe was almost swollen shut, and the drops hadn't been making it all the way down to the infection. So even though he had several doses of the drops prior to getting a fever it wasn't even getting into the infection, and because of that he got an inner ear infection as well. Today he is doing so much better.

We had to miss my dad's family reunion yesterday but I'm glad we stayed home because we ended up sleeping all afternoon. My parent's took my girls and they had a blast. As for me and John we have both been fighting a touch of the flu all week. Today we both felt better so we got a lot done around the house. I sorted the clothes in our basement and found a ton of Olivia's cute clothes that Jas can now wear. Olivia used to get beautiful clothes from The Limited and Nordstrom before I had to buy two girls clothes. =) Now Jassy can wear them. I almost don't need to go back-to-school shopping for her, YAY! She starts preschool tomorrow.

I started a ton of little projects last week and finally felt good enough to get them all finished. I always gut my house before the kids go back to school. I hate clutter and it feels good to have all the closets and drawers clean and organized. Now all we need is a real deep cleaning and we are done for this Summer's clean up.
